We Are Canada | CBC
For Canada’s 150th Birthday, White Pine Pictures made this bilingual six-part series for CBC on Canada’s young, up and coming change-makers.
I operated B Cam on A Unit along side my good friend and DP Andrew Sheppard. I also was the drone pilot on several episodes. I even got to fly in the Calgary Olympic Oval. 😉 This was the first Doc-Style series I worked on that really opened up my eyes to the incredible work being done by my generation across all fields of science, art, and exploration. We met so many people that were determined to make changes to our society for the better…in all aspects of life.
Created and Produced by Ken Dryden.
You can stream all the episodes for FREE on CBC Gem.
From CBC: “We Are Canada is a bilingual six-part series telling the stories of a new generation of passionate change-makers whose work is shaping and defining our future in inspiring and imaginative ways.
With stories selected from across the country and reflective of the cultural and ethnic diversity of our population, this series celebrates the accomplishments of young Canadians who are groundbreakers, innovators and visionaries within their respective fields of endeavour.
We Are Canada is premised on the idea that we define ourselves by what we do and where we’re going. The mission of the series is to make known to Canadians the Chris Hadfields, Naheed Nenshis, Robert Lepages, and James Orbinskis of the future.”
